Cheers, great news provider, and if you need large binary downloads,
check out Newsbin Pro. www.newsbin.com

For anyone using Agent all these years paying for newshosting is likely way more than they would need or have
been paying. www.blocknews.net sells block accounts where you can just buy a block of gigs and run through that
at your leisure and only add more when you want / need too. 25 gigs for like 4 bucks should last many quite
awhile.

As does Astraweb and others...

I've used only blocks of Usenet access for years. Astraweb is a good
one I use for mp3 downloads. A block lasts me for three years or
more. I don't overuse it for uploading tons of binaries.

Cheap as hell are blocks and the only way to go as far as I'm
concerned.

Yes, I agree Re: blocks but blocknews is much less expensive than astraweb for blocks plus more options
depending on usage. I dont understand your posting comment though. Posting does not count against your block
quota if that is what you meant.

The cost difference between astraweb and blocknews is night and day though. plus astra minimum size is 25 gigs
at 3 times the cost of blockews.

Newshosting has a really good newsreader which handles
large binary downloads just fine.
I was a Newsbin subscriber for years and cancelled after
trying the Newshosting newsreader (Newsbin may have
many more features than the Newshosting newsreader,
not sure, but I always thought Newsbin was very complicated
so if it did have more features, I never used them).
It also shows thumbnails in the alt.binaries.xxx groups.
I use the Newshosting newsreader to download binary files,
but Agent for everything else.
